"Spinal Tuberculosis – Sir Percivall Pott to Now"

Synopsis:

Spine Tuberculosis is as old as man himself. But unfortunately it is still not a disease of the past. Although it has a reigned as one of the 'Captains of Man of Death' through the centuries, it has also been the greatest teacher of numerous advances in surgical principles, approaches, operative techniques and procedures followed in spine surgery currently. This lecture will trace the evolution of the treatment of this disease over the last century and how this has influenced the practice of modern spine surgery.
