Email WebsiteDr Tan sub-specialises in glaucoma and has received training under Professor Paul Chew, the inventor of the Paul® Glaucoma Implant and the Micropulse P3 laser. He has significant exposure to complex glaucoma cases such as neovascular and secondary glaucoma and the implantation of various glaucoma drainage devices.
He also has a keen interest in the intersection of technology and medicine, and oversees the implementation of innovative technologies ranging from Artificial Intelligence to mixed reality in Ophthalmology.
He has been awarded multiple Ophthalmology related grants and awards including: NUS Teaching Enhancment Grant (2022), NUH-National Health Innovation Centre Joint MedTech Grant (2019), Summit Programme in Innovation (SPIN) Award (2018), Department of Ophthalmology Research Symposium Winner (2017), Best Oral Presentation Award- NUHS Clinician Scientist Program (2016).
