Research Interests and Achievements

Dr Chen's research interests include medical technology, presbyopia and anterior segment surgeries (including cataract and glaucoma surgeries).He aspires to be a clinician-innovator and has completed the Innovation Fellowship with the Singapore Biodesign programme, a competitive national level fellowship to further hone his knowledge in MedTech and healthcare innovation. At the same time, he is undergoing PhD training to develop animal models for presbyopia research. He hopes to use these animal models to evaluate novel therapies for presbyopia.
