OVERVIEW
This study explores the challenges and opportunities experienced by basic scientists as they transition into educator roles in medical and health professions education. It highlights the professional, pedagogical, and institutional factors that influence this transition and identifies opportunities to better support basic scientists in developing their educator identity and teaching capabilities.
