We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to develop advanced human cardiac organoid and microphysiological system (MPS) models at the National University of Singapore (NUS). This interdisciplinary research integrates iPSC and stem cell biology, cardiac organoids, organ-on-chip technologies, and toxicology, with a focus on physiologically relevant cardiac models and their integration with complementary liver MPS platforms. We seek researchers who thrive in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments and are passionate about developing human-relevant in vitro models.
Essential Qualifications
PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Stem Cell Biology, Cardiovascular and Liver Biology, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong background in molecular and cellular biology, with demonstrated experience in experimental research
• Experience in mammalian cell culture and relevant molecular biology techniques
• Proven ability to independently design experiments, troubleshoot technical challenges, and critically interpret scientific data
• Good scientific writing and communication skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment
Candidates with hands on experience on those areas will be a plus.
Mentorship and Support
The position is jointly supported by the laboratories of Professor Roger Foo and Professor Hanry Yu at NUS. The successful candidate will work across complementary expertise in microphysiological systems, stem cell biology, cardiovascular research, and translational toxicology, and will collaborate with researchers across engineering, medicine, and the life
sciences.

Job Description:
• Conduct research of lab-based pork meat
• Assist other research projects on mechanobiology; liver tissue engineering’ biomaterials and imaging
Job Requirement:
• BSc and above in biomedical engineering or life science from highly reputable universities or academic institutes
• Experienced in cell culture, molecular biology, microscopy and image analysis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• Good team player demonstrated in research teams
• Demonstrated ability to think and work across disciplinary boundaries
