SQUARE IG Post

Congratulations are in order for our DBMI faculty and Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics student on their recent achievements under the NMRC Talent Awards!

🏆 Adj A/Prof Mark Dhinesh Muthiah (Department of Medicine, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine) was awarded the Clinician Scientist Award. This award enables clinician scientists to carry out internationally competitive translational and clinical research, bringing bench discoveries to bedside applications.

🏆 Dr Clara Ngoh (Consultant, Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine, National University Hospital) is the recipient of the Clinician Innovator Award. The award aims to support clinicians with healthcare innovation ideas as they work towards real-world implementation.

🏆 Mr Nigel Lim (MSc in BMI AY22/23) received the NMRC Research Training Fellowship, a talent pipeline programme that nurtures outstanding clinicians and healthcare professionals in their research training to become clinician scientists. This award was built on his Singapore Biodesign Innovation Fellowship 2024, an intensive training on the entire biodesign process of health technology innovation, focused on developing new health technologies for unmet clinical needs in Asia.

These awards highlight the impactful work and immense potential within our DBMI community. We are proud to celebrate clinicians and researchers who are shaping the future of healthcare.
