Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference 2026
Last weekend the Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) made its debut in China, hosted in the vibrant city of Yiwu. As a joint initiative between NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Zhejiang University, this forum set a new benchmark for global health professions education.
Our DBMI Faculty Dr Judice Koh had the invaluable opportunity to share about Interprofessional Education based on BMI1101A/C (Pillar 5), involving around 700 students from medicine, dentistry, nursing and pharmacy.
Through the conference, participants engaged in healthy discourse and meaningful dialogue that push the envelope for healthcare education. As Dr Dujeepa D. Samarasekera (Co-Chairperson, Organising Committee APMEC2026, Senior Director, Centre for Medical Education) highlighted, in celebrating diverse perspectives and experiences, healthcare educators will continue to "enrich learning, strengthen teamwork and foster professional growth all of which ultimately enhance patient care and contribute to better global health outcomes."
