The NUS Division of Biomedical Informatics and the National University Hospital (NUH) is honoured to host Dr Kunimitsu Ayano, Parliamentary Vice-Minister, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan earlier this June.

During Dr Kunimitsu's visit, HOD of NUS Biomedical Informatics A/Prof Ngiam Kee Yuan (Head & Senior Consultant, Division of General Surgery (Endocrine & Thyroid Surgery), Department of Surgery) and Dr Gao Yujia (Consultant, Division of Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery, Department of Surgery) introduced the Endeavour AI programme and Holomedicine technology respectively.

Dr Kunimitsu also tried on the Hololens 2, and had an insightful discussion with the team regarding its use cases and potential breakthroughs in healthcare.
