David graduated from the University of Dundee with a BSc (Hons) in Physics before later completing an MSc in Medical Physics at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK.  In 2005 he joined the largest commercial provider of radiopharmaceuticals in the UK, Alliance Medical, as a PET radiochemist.  Combined with specialist GE cyclotron and synthesis module training, David progressed through the organisation to initially become the Service Engineer, then the Service Manager for 2 large Radiopharmaceutical Production Units in the north west of England. 

David is responsible for the cyclotron and facility systems, and also overseeing the manufacturing operations on a day-to-day basis.  His interests include promoting the ability to harness medical cyclotrons for the production of novel radioisotopes, including radiometallic isotopes for use in both diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
