Fellowship in Health Professions Education


The Fellowship in Health Professions Education (FHPE) is a comprehensive program designed to enhance the expertise of health professions educators. Participants are required to complete all online learning modules and attend a 1.5-day face-to-face workshop. The program is structured into four thematic blocks:

  1. Block 1 Engaging Learners from Curriculum to Classroom
    • Focuses on curriculum design, foundations of learning, and teaching and learning approaches
  2. Block 2 Transformative Assessment Design to Support Learner Performance (Mentoring, Coaching and Supervision)
    • Emphasizes assessment, mentoring, feedback, and well-being
  3. Leading for Excellence in HPE (Launching in 2026)
    • Covers quality assurance, program evaluation, leadership, and risk management; and
  4. Educator as a Scholar
    • Explores scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL) alongside qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Completion of assignments and participation in a capstone project or attendance at the Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) are essential components for successful completion of the fellowship.

Program Cancellation / Withdrawal Policy

We understand that cancellations or schedule changes are sometimes inevitable. The following policies are necessary to ensure the continued success of the program.

All cancellations must be made in writing to CenMED.

Once you have registered for a particular module, changing it to another module will result in an administrative fee of S$100 (not including GST), for each module change requested. This policy is to ensure that other participants are not deprived from attending the modules.

Should you choose to withdraw from this programme, it falls upon you - the applicant, to pay the full amount + prevailing GST.

No replacement is allowed after the individual participant has been accepted into the programme.
