Research Interests

Cancer Biology: Phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH) is an oxidoreductase enzyme which catalyses the rate limiting step in serine synthesis pathway. PHGDH may support cell growth through serine production and replenish alpha ketoglutarate enhancing cancer cell proliferation. Role of this metabolic oncogene in promoting breast cancer and its efficacy as a biomarker were my research goals.
