Research Interests

Medical Education

Integrated teaching for medical students including Collaborative case based learning and Clinical application of medical sciences

Curriculum development for Phase I medical students by working jointlywith clinicians as part of the system based workgroups

Currently involved in technology enhanced learning bydeveloping digitalisation of human anatomy specimens and designing e-histology learning platform

Guiding the medical students as a member of the elective dissection programme (silent mentor programme) to learn applied as well as clinical anatomy

Involved in Residency workshops conducted annually for young doctors from various disciplines including Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Obstetrics and gynaecology

Research Interests

Cancer Biology:Phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH) is an oxidoreductase enzyme which catalyses the rate limiting step in serine synthesis pathway. PHGDH may support cell growth through serine production and replenish alpha-ketoglutarate enhancing cancer cell proliferation.Role of this metabolic oncogene in promoting breast cancer and its efficacy as a biomarker were my research goals.
