Research Fellow

We have vacancies for a Research Fellow for the project:

  1. 3D Bioprinting of Cell-Laden Microfiber-Reinforced High Mechanical Strength Hydrogel for Meniscus Repair and Regeneration

Requirements

Qualifications

  • PhD Degree from a reputable university, preferably in biological sciences

 

Other Requirements

  • Experience in animal experimentation, including animal surgery is an advantage for project 1.
  • Excellent technical skills and experience in cell biology/material science/biomaterials
  • Strong aptitude in research with good analytical skills
  • Good track record of publications
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Salary will commensurate with academic qualifications and research experience.

Research Assistant

We have a vacancy for a Research Assistant for the project "Proximal junctional kyphosis and sagittal malalignment: A cadaveric study to investigate the impact of sagittal alignment variations and instrumentation length on local stress across proximal segments of a long spinal construct".

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, preferably in engineering/science.

Other Requirements

  • Experience in biomechanical testing on biological specimens.
  • Strong aptitude in research with good analytical skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Salary will commensurate with academic qualifications and research experience.

Clinical Fellowships from Lee Foundation / Tan Sri Dr. Runme Shaw Foundation

LEE FOUNDATION/TAN SRI DR RUNME SHAW FELLOWSHIP IN ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY/HAND & RECONSTRUCTIVE MICROSURGERY.

The Fellowship will cover a six-month clinical attachment at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, National University Hospital or the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Singapore General Hospital. The training can be in

  • Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery

Applicants must be from developing countries and must have some experience in these two specialities. Two awards are available for EACH fellowship.  There is no degree or diploma awarded on completion of training.
(Candidates on Scholarship should liaise with the School on type of entry permit/visa and  temporary medical registration matters.)

Clinical Fellowships with NUH

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, National University Hospital is offering fellowships in Spinal Surgery, Paediatric Orthopaedics, Arthroscopy and Adult Reconstructive Surgery, Sports Medicine and Trauma. These fellowships are open to foreign citizens to provide them an opportunity to train and upgrade their skills at the National University Hospital, Singapore. The successful candidate will be attached to a Division of his/her choice in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

The 7 Divisions are:

  • Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery
  • Division of Hip and Knee Surgery
  • Division of Musculoskeletal Oncology
  • Division of Musculoskeletal Trauma
  • Division of Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery
  • Division of Spinal Surgery
