Opening Ceremony of The Mini BioReactor Array (MBRA) facility

The opening ceremony of the MiniBioReactor Array (MBRA) facility, one of the core facilities of the Infectious Diseases Translational Research Programme at NUS Medicine, was held on 18 May 2023. The ceremony was graced by ID TRP Programme Directors A/Prof Gan Yunn Hwen, A/Prof Sylvie Alonso, and Prof Paul Tambyah, and Vice Dean (Research) Prof Chng Wee Joo.

MBRA is an in vitro cultivation system used to study complex microbiome communities from stools, lungs or other relevant niches by establishing simplified consortiums under continuous flow culture.

The MBRA facility is open to all researchers in NUS Medicine.
