Faculty Position in Immunology

Are you searching for a faculty position in a dynamic, well-equipped and collaborative environment for immunological research? The Immunology Translational Research programme at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is accepting applications across a variety of positions in Immunology ranging from tenure track Assistants to Full Professors.

Purpose of the Post

The mission of the Immunology Translational Research programme is to promote collaborative, cutting-edge research and technologies to stimulate discoveries about the central role of the immune system in human health and disease to harness its power to treat and diagnose a wide range of diseases. Our goal is to translate these discoveries into more effective immunotherapy, new treatment guidelines and diagnostic tests for patients with disease-specific problems (such as autoimmune and airway diseases, cancer, chronic inflammation, infections and organ/tissue transplantation). Our diverse team of excellent scientists and clinicians from our neighboring hospital, The National University Hospital, and our cutting-edge technology platforms create a dynamic environment enabling fundamental and translational research and training.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

We now seek to expand our faculty team to complement our existing fortes in immunotherapy and immune regulation and to develop new innovative research programmes in any field within all areas of fundamental and translational Immunology.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor should have a PhD, MD (or equivalent medical degree), or MD/PhD and an established track record in research that is internationally competitive for their career stage. Candidates for Assistant Professor should have strong postdoctoral records and evidence of their potential for development of an independent, cutting edge research programme. Candidates should have an interest in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

The compensation package is internationally competitive. In addition to salary, performance bonuses are payable for excellence in research, teaching and service, subject to annual review. Successful candidates can expect a generous start-up package along with first-class laboratory and core facilities. Clinically qualified appointees can expect to receive a specialist allowance.
