Assistant Manager, Immunology TRP (2-year renewable contract)

Purpose of the Post

The Immunology Programme aims to understand the role of the immune system in health and diseases and its regulation with the goal of enabling discovery and development of more effective immunotherapy.
The incumbent will primarily support the Director of ITRP in research development.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• To coordinate activities across Institute of Higher Learning, Research Institutes and Industry: oversee marketing, publicity, technologies platforms research and commercialization strategies, industrial engagement, local and global engagement
• Specialist in scouting research grant funding sources both within and outside Singapore, and to engage with all the Programme’s Principal Investigators
• Initiating and nurturing partnerships, networks, and alliances between and among faculty at their institutions and funding agencies
• Designing and implementing strategic services for faculty and researcher constituents such as workshops, trainings, program officer visits, proposal editing, public relations, communications, funding opportunity searches and dissemination, budget preparation, forms and submission assistance and research team building.
• Be a broker between industry and the scientific community.
• Downstream management of IP, patents, start-ups and spin-offs are also expected

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences or related scientific areas.
• At least 4 years of work experience with academia or related industries, industry liaison and business development .
• An excellent command of English.
• Highly organized and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
• Possess initiative and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and oral communicator.
• Strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to operate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
