The WisDM team recently collaborated with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to publish a white paper foregrounding the importance of patient-centricity in health innovation. Using digital therapeutics (DTx) as a use case, the paper addresses the gap between the theoretical understanding of the general importance of patient-centricity and the practical understanding of how to operationalise and implement it in healthcare solutions.
We have developed a practical patient-centricity evaluation framework designed to support all healthcare stakeholders, from business leaders and clinicians to policymakers, in assessing and strengthening the patient-centricity of their healthcare solutions. The framework is structured around three key dimensions—Equity, Efficacy, and Experience—further broken down into 11 sub-dimensions. These sub-dimensions enable users to pinpoint specific areas for improvement, offering a more structured and manageable approach to enhancing patient-centricity in digital health solutions.
