More than 10,000 Singaporeans will undergo a $25-million study on heart disease that aims to identify early warning signs. Project RESET will gather data points — such as lifestyle and genetic information — and develop preventive measures. Ten medical schools, research institutes and private healthcare providers will take part in the study. According to the National University Health System, one in three Singaporeans has underlying early heart disease. It’s the top killer in Singapore, claiming around 23 lives each day.
