Tackling Heart Disease
In celebration of World Heart Day which falls on 29 September, the NUS Cardiovascular-Metabolic Disease Translational Programme (TRP) planned a series of educational and outreach activities throughout September to raise awareness on the prevention and intervention of cardiovascular-metabolic disease in Singapore.
Outreach exhibitions were held at Queenstown Health District on 3rd September & @ NUHS Pharmacy foyer on 29th September 2023.
Cultivating Collaboration
Collaboration is the driving force behind every successful research endeavour. Outreach events facilitate networking and collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders. They create an environment where multidisciplinary teams can share ideas, expertise, and resources, leading to more robust and effective studies.
Booths were set up at the Health District and NUHS Pharmacy Foyer which showcased research studies such as the PICMAN Study – Early Cardiovascular Disease, SINgapore GERiatric Intervention Study (SINGER) and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Study amongst others.
