Professor Edward Koo's Laboratory
We work closely with Prof Koo's Lab, Department of Medicine, NUS •Pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease, using cellular and animal models. •Mechanisms of synaptic injury in Alzheimer’s disease. •Translating basic neurobiological findings to clinically relevant questions. •Experimental therapeutics in Alzheimer’s disease.
Professor Gene Yeo's Laboratory
We work closely with Prof Gene's Lab, Department of Physiology, NUS
The major focus of Yeo's lab is to understand the impact of RNA processing and regulation in human normal and cancer stem cell biology and neural differentiation. Human embryonic stem cells are used by our lab as a system for unraveling aspects of stem cell state, such as survival, self-renewal and differentiation, results of which have far-reaching implications to our understanding of human development and neurodegenerative diseases.
