Following the success of the last two years, Longevity Week 2020 will take place virtually from 9-13 November 2020, with our flagship event – the First Annual Lecture of the Longevity Forum, to be delivered by our Person of the Year 2020, Professor Sarah Gilbert broadcasting from the University of Oxford on November 12th.

The theme of this year’s Longevity Forum and Longevity Week is “The Age of Resilience” where we will be focusing on the challenges presented by COVID-19 and discuss ideas on how we can prevent and combat future pandemics to ensure healthier, longer lives can be achieved by all.

Our flagship event will be the First Annual Lecture of the Longevity Forum to be delivered by Professor Sarah Gilbert, our Person of the Year 2020 for her leadership of the research into a COVID-19 vaccine and her career-long dedication to combating deadly pathogens with pandemic potential. Professor Gilbert is the Oxford Project Leader for ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, a promising vaccine against the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2.
