In memory of the late Christine Chong Hui Xian (Class of 2012) who passed away in December 2009 after a long drawn battle with lymphoma. Christine persisted with her medical studies, taking her second-year exams while in hospital. Her fortitude, as well as her plucky and giving spirit inspired her classmates to spearhead the drive for this bursary.

The bursary supports financially needy students every year by defraying the students’ living expenses. All full-time NUS medical undergraduate students are eligible to apply for this Bursary. Number of Bursaries to be awarded is dependent on the availability of funds is subjected to the University’s spending limit. Each Bursary is tenable yearly.
