Singapore’s premier healthcare innovation hackathon returns—bringing together diverse talents to tackle pressing healthcare challenges

The NUS Medicine Digital Advanced Technology Accelerator (DATA) hosted HealthHack 2025 Singapore on 8 February 2025, the second annual healthcare innovation hackathon convening healthcare professionals, technology developers, students, and entrepreneurs. The event reflects growing momentum in Singapore’s digital health community, with increased participation and expanded resources for solution development.

Collaborative Healthcare Problem-Solving

The one-day hackathon at NUS UTown provided participants with intensive collaboration opportunities, expert mentorship from healthcare and technology leaders, competitive team-based challenges addressing real healthcare system gaps, and networking with innovators and investors shaping Singapore’s healthtech ecosystem.

Participants developed solutions across diverse healthcare domains: digital health technology applications, patient care optimisation, healthcare delivery efficiency, clinical workflow improvement, and health data management systems.

Substantial Support for Winning Teams

Top teams received significant resources to advance their innovations:

  • Fully-funded accelerated programme to develop solutions further
  • Up to SGD 20,000 in cash prizes
  • Access to premier mentorship from healthcare and technology experts
  • Testbed platforms for clinical validation and real-world testing
  • Healthcare innovation resources through DATA’s network

These prizes reflect the programme’s commitment beyond one-day events—providing pathways for promising solutions to achieve clinical implementation and market readiness.

Building Singapore’s Healthcare Innovation Ecosystem

HealthHack 2025 strengthened connections within Singapore’s healthcare innovation community by bringing together diverse stakeholders who rarely collaborate in traditional settings.
