Impact Lead

As Impact Lead at the Centre for Sustainable Medicine, Debbie Chan drives the organisation’s strategy to scale its impact across the sustainable healthcare space in Asia and beyond.

Debbie brings a background spanning policy, operations, and development across Asia and Africa. She has worked across two Asia-based policy think tanks, where she led government consultancy projects, conducted research on healthcare innovation and gerontechnology, and developed policy recommendations that shaped government agendas in Hong Kong. Earlier in her career, she managed international operations for a New York-based global health NGO, overseeing the launch of a surgical hospital in Burundi and coordinating partnerships across five continents.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History of Science from Harvard University and a Master of Science in Sustainable Healthcare from the National University of Singapore. She is committed to building the evidence and systems needed to make healthcare more equitable, resilient, and sustainable across the region.
