Reni CHNG
Reni Chng is a research associate at the Centre for Sustainable Medicine. They specialise in carbon analytics, using environmentally extended input-output (EEIO) modelling and life cycle assessments to advance national health systems towards net zero emissions.
Reni graduated from the Yale School of Environment with a Master of Environmental Science and Yale-NUS College with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, with a focus on solar photovoltaics in Southeast Asia. Their research interests are in industrial ecology, environmental STS, climate narratives and climate hope.
Prior to CoSM, they worked in various interdisciplinary environmental research and teaching roles, including at the Asia Research Institute and Yale University. They are familiar with using Python, R and MATLAB to analyse large datasets and sustainability storytelling to wider audiences as a science communicator.
