Dr Forbes McGain is a Visiting Associate Professor at the Centre for Sustainable Medicine.

He is also the inaugural Associate Dean of Healthcare Sustainability in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. In addition, he works as an anaesthetist and intensive care physician at Western Health, Melbourne, Australia, and serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney.

Dr McGain is actively involved in research, teaching, and education within the hospital, university, and broader health community. He remains passionate about making small, practical changes in medical practice that can collectively have a large environmental impact across hospitals worldwide. His deep love of nature influences everything he does—at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
