The programme kicks off with an exciting week of in-person events in Singapore where you will attend a variety of exclusive events including seminars and masterclasses with veterans and pioneers of the field, and site-visits to key sustainability innovations across the country.

Classes begin on 11 August 2025 and will be conducted between 9am to 5pm SGT, for an average of 3 to 4 hours weekly. Designed for online learning, you may also access the course materials and lecture recordings asynchronously on your own schedule.

Join the global movement for change at COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Experience the UN's climate negotiation process firsthand, where nations address emissions targets, financial mechanisms, technology transfer, and global cooperation. This is a self-funded study tour with limited slots available.

The programme culminates with a Graduation Ceremony in July 2026, giving you an opportunity to share your learning journey with peers and celebrate the end of the programme. Upon graduation, you will be inducted into the Centre for Sustainable Medicine’s Sustainable Healthcare Leaders’ Network.

A: The Executive Fellowship in Sustainable Healthcare is designed for working professionals with prior experience, placing an emphasis on advanced carbon analytics and change management, while providing the flexibility to learn at your own pace. The MSc provides students with the foundations and skillsets needed to lead healthcare’s response to climate change.  Please refer to the table comparison below.

A: The Executive Fellowship spans 1 year and is a part-time programme, with one course per semester. The expected number of class hours for each course is 3-4 hours weekly for 13 weeks. In addition to the courses, there will be thought leadership sessions every 6 weeks and mentoring engagements throughout the programme. For the August 2025 intake, an optional Intensive Sustainable Healthcare Week will be offered from 4 to 9 August 2025, with Semester 1 classes starting on Monday, 11 August 2025.

A: Satisfactory completion of the two courses (total of 8 units) will result in the award of a Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Healthcare. However, attendance is required for induction into the Centre’s Sustainable Healthcare Leaders’ Network.

A: The Executive Fellowship has been designed for busy professionals in mind, who value flexibility in setting their own pace for learning. High-quality recordings and course materials will be made available for you to view at your own time, and those based in Singapore may also attend classes in person at our National University of Singapore, Kent Ridge Campus.

A: Classes will primarily be conducted during the day on weekdays on-campus at our Kent Ridge campus, while facilitated workshops and lab sessions with instructors will be held in the evenings. Recordings of these classes will be made available for viewing asynchronously. Leadership and Networking events will primarily be conducted on weekday evenings, Singapore time.

A: We welcome senior and emerging professionals, and leaders with demonstrated track records who are interested in deepening their skills in healthcare sustainability. Relevant background knowledge and experience in this field, or adjacent fields such as public health, public policy, social sciences and environmental sustainability, are considered advantageous. Candidates with other relevant qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

A: It is a global network of health professionals working in the field of sustainable healthcare. The network provides you with access to Faculty and Affiliates of the Centre for Sustainable Medicine, previous Fellows who have completed the Executive Fellowship, and a knowledge exchange programme with the UK’s National Health Service and the US’s first Diploma of Climate Medicine. Joining the network will allow you to expand your professional connections and be part of a community of thought leaders and changemakers within the industry.

A: No, there are no compulsory in-person events as part of this Executive Fellowship. Where possible, events will be made available online for participants to join in no matter their location.

A: Participants will be required to obtain at least a B- grade (equivalent to a minimum GPA of 3.0) for both courses to be awarded the Graduate Certificate.

A: No. Executive Fellowship participants are not eligible to apply for Student Passes. To apply for a Student’s Pass, you must be accepted into an approved full-time course in Singapore. Part-time courses and courses conducted in the evening or on weekends are not eligible. For activities organised by the Centre where in-person attendance is encouraged, these events will not last for longer than 10 consecutive days.
