Programme Overview

The 1-year Executive Fellowship in Sustainable Healthcare empowers leaders to take the next step in their career. Designed for maximum flexibility, the programme combines in-person classes with the option of asynchronous online recordings, making it ideal for busy professionals.

In the first Semester, participants will develop critical carbon analytical skills and develop the ability to conduct and interrogate life cycle assessments in clinical and healthcare settings. Semester two focuses on developing change management skills and levers to tackle key challenges in the implementation of net zero healthcare.

Academic Coursework (3 to 4 hours weekly)

This Graduate Certificate consists of two advanced courses (4 units each):

  • Foundations of Net Zero Analytics
  • Driving and Implementing Net Zero Healthcare

There are 13 instructional weeks per semester (excluding semester breaks and exam weeks).

Thought Leadership Sessions (Every 6 weeks) 

Hear from policy and industry experts on emerging solutions, how the field is evolving, and impactful examples from a diverse range of countries through our dual series:

  • Fireside Chat Leadership Series
  • Sustainable Healthcare Policy Series

Networking & Mentorship (Year-round sessions) 

  • Join a global network of Sustainable Health Fellows developed in partnership with the NHS and the US Diploma of Climate Medicine to facilitate knowledge exchange between the UK, US, and Singapore
  • Be mentored by a leader in healthcare sustainability, with pairings assigned based on shared interests to gain meaningful and personalised insights

Carbon Data in Action

  • Course 1: A first-of-its-kind, 13-week carbon footprinting course providing the skills needed to conduct Life Cycle Assessments on a range of clinical products throughout a patient pathway
  • Course 2: Focused on change management, implementation sciences, and practical skills applicable to your clinic, hospital, or health system

Building Your Community of Changemakers

  • Connect with like-minded peers working in healthcare and sustainability throughout Asia Pacific and beyond
  • Events like the Intensive Sustainable Healthcare Week in Singapore and a six-weekly leadership series provide regular opportunities to develop new relationships across the world

COP30 International Study Tour

  • Selected Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in the Centre’s delegation to the world’s largest climate summit in Belém, Brazil
  • Engage directly with the UN negotiations and hear from thought leaders on the latest trends in the science, policy, and politics of climate change

The Executive Fellowship in Sustainable Healthcare is a 1-year, part-time Graduate Certificate programme suited for executives in healthcare or sustainability who seek to learn key analytical and leadership skills to influence, manage, and operationalise sustainable healthcare within their organisations.

Professionals with at least 5 years of relevant working experience with a demonstrated interest in sustainability are encouraged to apply. We accept applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds within the fields of either healthcare, sustainability, or beyond.

Provide a Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and accomplishments.

Submit a Statement of Purpose of no more than 300 words in Word or PDF format. 

The statement should showcase your background, including your professional work experience, motivation to enter the programme, research interests (if any), as well as your interest in healthcare sustainability and your long-term career development goals.
