Jit SOHAL
Jit Sohal is a development professional with over 13 years of experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. As Senior Lead for International Strategy, she spearheads the Centre’s regional and international efforts to promote sustainable healthcare.
Previously, Jit led the climate program at Health Care Without Harm Southeast Asia, where she played a key role in elevating climate and health ambitions across the region and strengthening the organization’s adaptation portfolio. She led the development of a global framework for climate-resilient healthcare, spearheaded cross-country collaborations, and influenced national policies in the Philippines, Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and Brunei. Her leadership resulted in enhanced institutional commitments and increased capacity for carbon footprinting at both facility and health system levels, among others.
Earlier in her career, Jit supported the Philippine government’s disaster response and social protection programs and led business development and project management for a local consulting firm. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and is currently pursuing her Master’s in International Health at the University of the Philippines Open University.
