Dr Zubaidah Said
Director (Air and Droplet Borne Division), Communicable Diseases Agency
Zubaidah leads the Air and Droplet Borne Division in the Communicable Diseases Agency, a statutory board under the Ministry of Health Singapore, where she oversees surveillance and response operations for air and droplet-borne diseases.
Prior to her current role, Zubaidah served as the Director of the Surveillance, Epidemiology and Response Division at the Ministry of Health Singapore, where she oversaw the prevention and control of communicable diseases through epidemiological surveillance, field investigations, and outbreak management. Throughout her career, she has held multiple positions across the Ministry of Health and the public healthcare sector, spanning diverse portfolios including ageing, community mental health, hospital services, primary care, and postgraduate training.
A medical doctor and public health specialist by training, Zubaidah obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore and her MSc in Public Health (Health Economics) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
