Zhong Youjia is a paediatrician with a special interest in clinical immunology, and has more than 15 years of clinical experience. She is also a clinician scientist who leads a laboratory in paediatric vaccine immunology, with a focus on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), T cell responses, and mucosal immunity in the paediatric population. She has been awarded several national grants, including the NMRC Transition Award (TA), MOE Tier 1 grant, and NMRC-Clinician Scientist – Individual Research grant – New Investigator Grant. Her work has been published in high-impact journals such as Blood, Allergy and Nature Medicine. Youjia also enjoys teaching; she mentors medical students as well as science students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Youjia holds an MBChB (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh, and is both a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Additionally, she holds a Master of Clinical Investigation from the National University of Singapore, and a PhD from Duke-NUS Medical School.
