Jan A. Jaminal, MPH, CPH, REHS/RS, REM, FRSPH, is a seasoned public health professional with significant experience in infectious and communicable disease management. With a solid foundation in biochemistry and a Master of Public Health with a focus in Infectious Disease, Global Health, and Environmental Health, Mr. Jaminal has applied his academic and practical knowledge across diverse roles addressing disease outbreaks, vector-borne illnesses, and public health emergencies. His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic as a Lead Contact Tracer with the Center for Toxicology & Environmental Health (CTEH) involved conducting over 300 case interviews, supervising tracing teams, and ensuring compliance with data privacy protocols. These skills align directly with an emphasis on outbreak investigation, surveillance, and operational response. Moreover, Mr. Jaminal served as a COVID-19 Clinic Manager, serving thousands of residents in the Peninsula Region with the Virginia Department of Health. In his role as Program Coordinator and Public Health Analyst with the District of Columbia Department of Health, he led initiatives that integrated data-driven strategies for rodent and vector control, strengthening epidemiologic and environmental health responses to disease vectors in urban environments in the capital of the United States.
Mr. Jaminal also brings valuable emergency preparedness experience through his service with the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps, where he coordinated multi-jurisdictional training exercises to support public health resilience.
