Gabriel is an infectious diseases physician and a clinical microbiologist in NUH, as well as a consultant with the National Public Health Laboratory in the Communicable Diseases Agency. He is also involved in undergraduate medical education with the National University of Singapore as an adjunct assistant professor. Among his myriad interests beyond infectious diseases and microbiology is a deep passion for reading and history, for which he has combined it all to publish a book, ‘Communicable: David Allen and Modern Infectious Diseases in Singapore’, about the history of infectious diseases in Singapore.
