Dr Maleena Suppiah Cavert

Chief, Learning & Culture, Tsao Foundation


Dr. Maleena Suppiah is an advocate for wellbeing and education, currently serving as the Chief of Learning & Culture at the Tsao Foundation. Previously, she held the role of Chief Wellbeing Officer at the National University Health System (NUHS), where she focused on the mental, physical, and emotional health of 16,000 employees. Dr. Suppiah was the administrative director for clinical education for eight years and continues scholarly practice whilst holding an appointment of adjunct assistant professor at the NUS School of Medicine.

A certified facilitator of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), she has worked closely with healthcare professionals and students to enhance resilience and combat burnout. Her extensive work experience spans over 36 years across six countries, encompassing diverse roles in healthcare, education, food security and food science.

Dr. Suppiah Cavert’s academic credentials include a Doctorate in Education, an MBA, and a BSc. in Food Science from King’s College London. Alongside her involvement in initiatives that promote behavior change for improved health and wellbeing, her commitment to fostering a culture of empathy and understanding makes her a compelling speaker on resilience.
