With over a decade of experience advancing health systems and policies across Sudan and Saudi Arabia, Dr Einas Khalil brings extensive expertise in infectious disease prevention and control, maternal and child health, public health emergency and outbreak management, policymaking, and strategic health planning. She has held senior and leadership roles within national ministries and UN agencies, including Director of Maternal & Child Health, Director of the IMNCI Program, Director of International NGOs, and National Focal Person for UN health projects, consistently driving innovation and equity in public health delivery.
She is currently serving as the National Supervisor for Vaccine-Preventable Diseases Surveillance and Outbreak Preparedness and Management, as well as the Office Director for the Infectious Disease Control Directorate at the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia.
She participated in introducing inclusive vaccine policies that expanded access to vulnerable populations, contributed to the development of adolescent and adult vaccination programs, and supervised the transformation of the vaccination registry in alliance with Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision. She also contributed to the issuance of national guidelines on COVID-19, Mpox, and travel vaccinations, and authored guidelines for the MMR Elimination Program, among others.
Active member of FETP-KSA since 2015, with prior mentorship experience at FETP-Sudan, as well as part-time staff at various universities, teaching undergraduate medical students and postgraduate public health students in national and international programs.
