Adjunct Professor Malcolm Mahadevan is a Senior Consultant in Emergency Medicine Department at National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore and Group Chief, Emergency Medicine, NUHS since 2022. He has held key leadership roles, including Head of Emergency Medicine and NUHS Designated Institutional Official.

He was instrumental in Singapore ‘s COVID 19 response and pioneered Observation Medicine , establishing the country ‘s first Observation Unit. He advises MOH on training & accreditation and contributes actively to medical education and clinical quality. His work has earned national recognition, including the Singapore Healthcare Humanity Award, National Medical Excellence Awards, and recently the Distinguished Senior Clinician Award at NUHS Tribute Award Ceremony 2025. He continues to serve as an abiding inspiration mentor and lead to strive for excellence.
