Robert Milton has had a distinguished career in the airline industry. He joined Air Canada in 1992 on a consulting basis and held various positions of increased scope through to President and Chief Executive Officer, a title he held from 1999-2004.

He led the Company which has its primary hub at Toronto through the impact of SARS. Subsequently, and through 2012, he was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ACE Aviation Holdings Inc., the parent company of Air Canada. Later, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Airlines Holdings, which is the parent company of United Airlines. He now serves as the Lead Independent Director of Air Lease Corporation.
