Singapore’s New Pandemic Preparedness and Response Framework Now Available

The Centre for Infectious Disease Emergency Response (CIDER) is pleased to share that the Singapore Pandemic Preparedness and Response Framework has been officially launched by the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA).

This updated national framework outlines Singapore’s comprehensive, forward-looking approach to preparing for and responding to both known and unknown infectious disease threats. It replaces the earlier 2014 Pandemic Readiness and Response Plan for Influenza and Other Acute Respiratory Diseases and is aligned with international best practices and World Health Organization guidelines.

The framework introduces a modular and adaptable “plug-and-play” system, enabling timely and flexible public health responses. By adopting a disease-agnostic perspective, it enhances Singapore’s readiness to tackle future infectious disease challenges with greater agility and resilience.

We are proud to acknowledge Dr Louisa Sun from CIDER for her valuable contributions to shaping this important national framework.
