Communication and Cultural Diversity

In this module, Standardised Patients are engaged to train and assess nursing students’ communication skills in a consultation room setting.

Anatomy, Physiology and Physical Assessment I

Students learn the physical assessment related to cardiovascular and respiratory system.

Anatomy, Physiology and Physical Assessment II

Students learn the physical assessment related to musculoskeletal and nervous system.

Fundamentals of Care

In CHS’s wards with various task trainers, equipment and Standardised Patients, students learn about foundation knowledge and skills for provision of nursing care to patients in a variety of health care settings.

Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Nursing Practice I

In CHS’s wards with various task trainers, equipment and Standardised Patients, students learn to integrate knowledge of pathophysiology, health assessment, principles of medical and nursing management and pharmacology related to cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine and haematological conditions.

Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Nursing Practice II

In CHS’s wards with various task trainers, equipment and Standardised Patients, students learn to integrate knowledge of pathophysiology, health assessment, principles of medical and nursing management and pharmacology related to the common gastrointestinal, renal, urinary, integumentary and musculoskeletal conditions.

Year 2

Women and Children Health

With various simulators, equipment and Standardised Patients, students get hands-on learning on normal pregnancy and childbirth; and normal growth and development of infants, children and adolescents.

Year 3

Consolidated Clinical Simulation Nursing Practice

With high fidelity simulator or Standardised Patients, students are put in various scenarios to learn how to manage ward patient and be prepared to transit into the clinical practice environment as a registered nurse.

Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Nursing Practice III

In CHS’s wards with various simulators, equipment and Standardised Patients, students learn the knowledge, technical skills, attitudes and critical thinking skills necessary for the provision of nursing care and management for patients with alteration in neurological, cellular and immunological function and patients requiring emergency or critical care management.
