Young Biomedical Science Educators





Eligibility

  • Open to all Senior Research Fellows/ Research Fellows/ Teaching Assistants/ Instructors /PhD Students who are presently involved / interested in teaching biomedical science.
  • Strong interest to pursue future career in health professions education.


Intake

There will be one intake per year — January



Estimated Registration Fee (NUHS): $6,850 + prevailing GST
Estimated Registration Fee (Others): $7,100 + prevailing GST

Foundational Programme

6 online modules (30-45 mins per module):

7 Workshops

  1. Developing The Future-Ready Healthcare Professionals – Outcomes And Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA)
  2. Competency Based Medical / Health Professional Education: Written Assessment
  3. Supporting the Learners Through Supervision, Coaching and Mentoring
  4. Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and Research in Medical Education (RIME)
  5. Effective Course Design for Health Profession Education
  6. Interactive Teaching - Learning Strategies in Small and Large Group Settings
  7. Nurturing Humanism in Healthcare Workshop

Program Cancellation / Withdrawal Policy

We understand that cancellations or schedule changes are sometimes inevitable. The following policies are necessary to ensure the continued success of the program.

All cancellations must be made in writing to CenMED.

Once you have registered for a particular module, changing it to another module will result in an administrative fee of S$100 (not including GST), for each module change requested. This policy is to ensure that other participants are not deprived from attending the modules.

Should you choose to withdraw from this programme, it falls upon you - the applicant, to pay the full amount of $6,850 or $7,100 + prevailing GST.

No replacement is allowed after the individual participant has been accepted into the programme.
