Profile
Shengyu joined the Centre for Biomedical Ethics (CBME) as a Research Fellow in 2025. She has a background in the social sciences and holds both an MSc and a PhD in bioethics from the University of Bristol. Her doctoral research focuses on empirical bioethics and explores ethical challenges in palliative care in the Chinese mainland.
Shengyu’s research interests include end-of-life ethics, palliative care ethics, and healthcare ethics in Asian cultural contexts.
