Profile
Xiaomin Wang is a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Biomedical Ethics (CBmE), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, where she collaborates with A/Prof Brian Earp.
She is an Associate Professor and holds a Ph.D. in Bioethics with joint training at Yale University, USA. At the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, she concurrently serves as Deputy Director of the Clinical Trial Research Center, Deputy Director of the Teaching and Research Section of Medical Humanities and Ethics, and Director of the Ethics Committee Office. Her primary research interests focus on medical humanities and ethics, AI-enabled medical ethics, and clinical ethics.
Dr. Wang has presided over more than 20 research projects at various tiers, including the National Social Science Fund of China, the General Program of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and projects funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as provincial and ministerial-level initiatives. As a core team member, she has participated in over 10 projects such as international cooperation programs and major special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in CSSCI, SSCI, CSCD and other core academic journals, and served as Chief or Associate Editor for 3 academic monographs and 1 textbook. Additionally, she holds 4 software copyrights, has been awarded 3 research and teaching prizes, participated in drafting and releasing 3 expert consensuses, and contributed to the formulation of 3 local ethical standards.
