Profile
Dr Pamina Mitter is an Academic Associate in the department who currently splits her time between Singapore and Oxford. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford.
Since 2006 she has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for patients over the age of 65 in the UK’s National Health Service.
Throughout her career she has had an interest in teaching and training. Since 2014 she has developed and taught simulation education modules for undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare professionals, including Dementia Communication Skills, Psychiatric Communication Skills, and Race and Practice in Healthcare Delivery.
She is a published member of the Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab (led by Professor Andrea Cipriani).
She also has some experience in psychotherapies and holds a Diploma in Systemic and Family Therapy and is a trained EMDR (Eye-Movement-Desensitization-and-Reprocessing) therapist.
