Profile
Jonathan is Assistant Professor in the Centre for Biomedical Ethics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS).
His research is cross-disciplinary, situated at the intersections of bioethics, law, philosophy, cognitive science, moral psychology, and health policy.
Prior to joining NUS, Jonathan was Lecturer in Medical Law and Bioethics and Co-Director for distance-learning postgraduate programmes in Healthcare Ethics and Law at the University of Manchester. He also holds postdoctoral positions from the University of Manchester and Dublin City University. For his contributions to and achievements in research, Jonathan was awarded the Research Staff of the Year Award in the University of Manchester’s Research Staff Excellence Awards 2023.
Jonathan conducted doctoral research in philosophy at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he was the recipient of the Crossland Scholarship and the College Research Scholarship. He also holds degrees from King’s College London and the University of Cambridge.
