Nurses who complete this course will form the cadre who can lead the training of their nursing colleagues in the 1-day Core Module in Healthcare Ethics, Law and Professionalism. The course objectives are aligned to the Core Competencies for Healthcare Professionals in Clinical Ethics crafted by the MOH-appointed National Ethics Capability Committee (NECC) to enhance the capacity of healthcare professionals (including nurses) in clinical ethics.

This course consists of online learning, and short didactic sessions. The online learning provides the foundational knowledge of the core ethical values while the didactic teaching hones learners’ understanding of these values through group discussions, scenario analyses, and application of ethical values and principles to issues commonly experienced by nurses.  The course concludes with a practicum to reinforce the newly-learned skills.
