Asian Bioethics Review is pleased to partner with the Singapore Nursing Journal in presenting this workshop on the use of narratives for ethical reflection and teaching. Competence in hearing, understanding and telling stories is fundamental to the ethical practice of medicine. This workshop will show how narrative methods are used to learn ethics in clinical medicine. Participants will read and discuss short literary narratives and poetry, learning new ways to recognise, evaluate and resolve common moral problems in clinical practice. Participants will also have an opportunity to enhance their narrative competence with reflective writing that focuses on the relevance of emotions, culture, values and life histories to ethical patient care.
Registration is free. Please email rachel_tina_teo@nuhs.edu.sg to RSVP by 21 Nov 2017.
