aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-4812\"><p>Intake for August 2024 is closed.<\/p><h4>Admission Criteria\/Eligibility<\/h4><p>Open to local (<strong>Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents only<\/strong>) applicants with:<\/p><ul><li>A Bachelor\u2019s Degree (1<sup>st<\/sup>Class or 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0Upper Class Honours) in the areas of Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine and Life Sciences, or<\/li><li>A MBBS or MD Degree Holder<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Scholarship Package<\/strong><\/p><p>Monthly stipend and full research tuition fee subsidy up to 4 years.<\/p><p>N2CR scholars will also receive allowances such as &#8211; purchase of laptop, software subscriptions, registration fees for local conferences and travel grant for overseas conferences.<\/p><p>* Travel grant for overseas conferences will be according to NUS policy.<\/p><p>With effect from 1 January 2024, monthly stipend is as follows:<\/p><table width=\"1140\"><tbody><tr><td width=\"198\">Singapore Citizen*<\/td><td width=\"284\">Singapore Permanent Resident<\/td><\/tr><tr><td width=\"198\">SGD S$3,500<\/td><td width=\"284\">SGD S$3,100<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><p>PhD scholars will get additional stipend of $500 per month after passing the qualifying examinations subject to the scholar\u2019s good performance.<\/p><p>*With additional employer\u2019s CPF contribution of You are responsible for requesting the transcript(s) from the relevant University. Graduates from NUS can submit copies of their result slips or official transcripts of their academic records.<\/li><li><strong>GRE (Graduate Record Examination)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>GRE is compulsory for all applicants. Exemption will be given to graduates who have obtained a Bachelor\u2019s degree with Honors (Distinction and above) from NUS and graduates who have obtained a Bachelor\u2019s degree with Honors (Highest Distinction) from NTU\/SUTD\/SMU.<br \/>A minimum total GRE score of 320 for the verbal and quantitative sections and 3.5 for the Analytical section is required.<\/li><li><strong>Referee Reports<\/strong><br \/>Recommendations from\u00a0<strong>2 academic referees<\/strong>\u00a0are to be submitted. You should check with your referees and obtain their institutional e-mail address. E-mail addresses from domains other than \u201c.edu\u201d may be subjected to additional screening and filtering. Please request your referees to send in the recommendation letter directly to the Officer-in-Charge.<\/li><li><strong>Publications<\/strong><br \/>Please submit a copy of each of your publication(s), if any. The journal\u2019s \u201cImpact Factor\u201d field (which allows input of up to one decimal point) is essentially a measure of scientific impact that is based on citation rates for an article or other citable item. It also takes into account the significance of the journals in which result has been published. The University will not be responsible for undeliverable e-mails and their consequences.<\/p><h4>Application for August 2024 Intake &#8211; CLOSED<\/h4><p>The application for August 2024 intake will open from 1 November 2023 to 31 January 2024.<\/p><p>If you have submitted the\u00a0<strong>completed application (with all the required documents)\u00a0<\/strong>before the application closing date, your application will be processed and you will be informed officially of the outcome of your application in writing latest by<strong> May 2024.<\/strong><\/p><h4>Rejection of Application<\/h4><p>Inaccurate or false information or omission of material information or no application fee (to be paid once invited to apply online) payment will render your application invalid. The University reserves the right to reject applications that are incomplete or inaccurate. Persons admitted on the basis of inaccurate or false information may be expelled. The University has not engaged any external agencies to undertake graduate student recruitment on its behalf. The School reserves the rights to reject any applications without giving reasons.<\/p><h4>Application Fees<\/h4><p>Payment of application fee is to be made <strong>only if invited<\/strong> to apply on-line.
