Our lab is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms by which myeloid cells overcome such microbial blockade to mount an effective immune response. Here, I will discuss our published and unpublished work on how different cell death modalities – apoptosis, pyroptosis and necroptosis is activated during microbial infection and how pathogens subvert these host responses.

Biography

Kaiwen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and is affiliated with the Immunology TRP.
