Research Project Opportunities

Personalizing Sleep For Better Health Using Large Scale Device Data

About the project

Many Asians have poor sleep habits that impact health, wellbeing and productivity. This can be transformed by;

  1. Developing and integrating smartphone and wearable based technologies to unobtrusively obtain long-term measurements of sleep patterns and cognition.
  2. Collecting data using the aforementioned platform to characterize sleep patterns across the lifespan and from there uncover their associations with outcome variables relevant to cognition, mood, cardiometabolic health and ageing.
  3. Using the above knowledge to personalize age-specific sleep recommendations in a manner relevant to Asians.
