About the Symposium

From Synapses to Cognition brings together an international community of neuroscientists to explore this question across every scale of biology, from single synapses to whole-brain networks and computational models.

Held on the eve of the EMBO Global Workshop on Cellular and Systems Mechanisms of Memory in Health and Disease, this one-day symposium is Singapore’s gateway event for the region’s memory and cognition research community. It features four confirmed speakers from the EMBO workshop, with many additional EMBO delegates expected to attend, giving local researchers and trainees a rare, low-barrier opportunity to engage directly with global leaders in the field before the main workshop begins.

Whether your work sits in molecular neuroscience, systems and circuit biology, neurodegeneration, or computational and AI-driven approaches to brain science, this symposium offers a full day of cutting-edge talks, cross-institutional dialogue, and relationship-building, all in one venue.
