This guide will walk you through the steps to view them.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Uncompress the CD\/DVD image file<\/h3>\r\n<p>1. First, locate the downloaded .iso file<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_001\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_001-1.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_001\" width=\"1270\" height=\"584\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>2. You will see files structured like this:<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_004\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_004.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_004\" width=\"1270\" height=\"584\" \/><\/p>\r\n<h3>View the MRI scans<\/h3>\r\n<p>To view the MRI scans, you will have two options: the first one is to view the scans in JPEG image format, while the second one is to view the scans using a software called Weasis.<\/p>\r\n<h3>View MRI scans in JPEG<\/h3>\r\n<p>1. To view the MRI scans in JPEG image format, simply open the JPEG folder<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_005\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_005.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_005\" width=\"2269\" height=\"1043\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>2. You will see various scans conducted<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_006\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_006.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_006\" width=\"2269\" height=\"1043\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>3. Click on one of them will reveal a series of JPEG images, which can be opened by double-clicking them<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_007\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_007.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_007\" width=\"2269\" height=\"1043\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>4. Then your default application for JPEG images will be opened<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_008\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_008.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_008\" width=\"1891\" height=\"1424\" \/><\/p>\r\n<h3>View MRI scans using the Weasis software<\/h3>\r\n<p>If you want to have more advanced features while viewing your MRI scans, you may open the scans using the Weasis software.<\/p>\r\n<h4>View MRI scans using the Weasis software (Windows)<\/h4>\r\n<p>If you are on a Windows machine, you can simply double-click on the &#8220;RUN.BAT&#8221; file to open your scans with the Weasis viewer:<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_010\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_010.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_010\" width=\"3840\" height=\"2052\" \/><\/p>\r\n<h4>View MRI scans using the Weasis software (macOS)<\/h4>\r\n<p>If you are on a Mac machine, you will need to first visit <a href=\"https:\/\/weasis.org\/en\/getting-started\/download-dicom-viewer\/\">weasis.org\/en\/getting-started\/download-dicom-viewer\/<\/a> and install the Weasis software.<\/p>\r\n<p>Once the Weasis is installed, you can follow the steps below to view your MRI scans:<\/p>\r\n<p>1. Firstly, open the Weasis DICOM viewer<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_011\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_011-1.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_011\" width=\"1046\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>2. Then, click on the &#8220;Import DICOM&#8221; button at the top-left corner<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_012\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_012.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_012\" width=\"575\" height=\"504\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>3. In the pop-up window, select the &#8220;DICOMDIR&#8221; option on the left, and then click on the three-dots button on the right<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_013\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_013-1.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_013\" width=\"1079\" height=\"756\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>4. The file explorer will be opened, using which you can select and open the DICOMDIR file in the uncompressed folder<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_014\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_014-1.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_014\" width=\"1268\" height=\"901\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>5. Then click on the &#8220;Import and Close&#8221; button<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_015\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_015.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_015\" width=\"1079\" height=\"756\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>6. The MRI scans will be opened<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_016\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_016.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_016\" width=\"1046\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\r\n<h3>A basic introduction to the Weasis software<\/h3>\r\n<p>Once your scans are opened in the Weasis viewer, the first scan will be displayed by default.<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_017\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_017.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_017\" width=\"3840\" height=\"2052\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>To view a different scan, simply double-click on the desired scan in the left panel (notice how the orange dot is now displayed at the top-left corner of the second scan).<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_018\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_018.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_018\" width=\"3840\" height=\"2052\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>To navigate through the image series within a scan, you can use the slider on the right side of the main viewer, or simply hover your cursor over the viewer and scroll the mouse wheel.<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_019\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_019.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_019\" width=\"3840\" height=\"2052\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_User_Guide_020\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_User_Guide_020.png\" alt=\"Weasis_User_Guide_020\" width=\"3840\" height=\"2052\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>For more advanced features and detailed documentation, please visit the Weasis website at <a href=\"https:\/\/weasis.org\/en\/tutorials\/\">weasis.org\/en\/tutorials\/<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<h2>How to export DICOM images as CD\/DVD images in the Weasis DICOM viewer<\/h2>\r\n<p>Before starting this guide, please make sure that the Weasis DICOM viewer is installed on your machine. If not, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/weasis.org\/en\/getting-started\/download-dicom-viewer\/\">weasis.org\/en\/getting-started\/download-dicom-viewer\/<\/a> and install the software.<\/p>\r\n<p>To begin with, please download the subject&#8217;s scans from the XNAT website as a DICOM zip file.<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_001\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_001.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_001\" width=\"1270\" height=\"584\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Once the DICOM image is downloaded, it can be opened with the Weasis DICOM viewer via the following steps:<\/p>\r\n<p>1. Firstly, open the Weasis DICOM viewer<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_002\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_002.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_002\" width=\"3840\" height=\"2052\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>2. Then, click on the &#8220;Import DICOM&#8221; button at the top-left corner<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_003\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_003.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_003\" width=\"441\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>3. In the pop-up window, select the &#8220;DICOM Zip&#8221; option on the left, and then click on the &#8220;Select a file&#8221; button on the right<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_004\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_004.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_004\" width=\"1823\" height=\"1297\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>4. The file explorer will be opened, using which you can select and open the downloaded DICOM zip file<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_005\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_005.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_005\" width=\"1832\" height=\"1301\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>5. Then click on the &#8220;Import and Close&#8221; button<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_006\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_006.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_006\" width=\"1823\" height=\"1297\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>6. The DICOM zip file will be opened<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_007\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_007.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_007\" width=\"3840\" height=\"2052\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Now that the DICOM image is opened, it can be exported as a CD\/DVD image containing the original DICOM files, converted jpeg images, and the Weasis DICOM viewer. This can be achieved with the steps below:<\/p>\r\n<p>1. Firstly, click on the &#8220;Export DICOM&#8221; button at the top-left corner<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_008\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_008.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_008\" width=\"872\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>2. In the pop-up window, select the &#8220;CD\/DVD Image&#8221; option on the left, check the &#8220;Add JPEG images&#8221; and &#8220;ADD Weasis&#8221; options on the right, and then click on the &#8220;Export and Close&#8221; button<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_009\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/tmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2024\/10\/Weasis_export_CD_images_009.png\" alt=\"Weasis_export_CD_images_009\" width=\"1733\" height=\"1297\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>3.
