She completed her master degree in Health Professional Education (MSED) at the University of Southern California, U.S., 1999. After returning to Korea, she helped the establishment of the Department of Medical Education at the Korea University College of Medicine (KUCM) in 2000. She was appointed as an assistant professor in 2001 and promoted as a full professor in 2010.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Professor Lee contributed to setting up the clinical performance examination for the national medical licensure examination in Korea. She has worked for a committee member of the KAMC (Korean Academy of Medical Colleges), the KSME( Korean Society of Medical Educators), and the KIMEE (Korean Institution for Medical Education Evaluation) and the in Korea.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">She is an Editor-in-Chief of the Korean Journal of Medical Education, an official journal of the Korean Society of Medical Educators. She is also an associate editor of the BMC Medical education. Now she serves for a director of faculty development, standardised patient (SP) programme, the committee for the premedical curriculum, and a chair of the committee for continuous quality improvement in medical education at the KUCM.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Her major interesting research fields in medical education are: professionalism, communication skills education in both UME and GME, and effective faculty development. Recently she has published many papers on medical education adaptations during COVID-19 pandemic at the international peer reviewed journals. Her paper on professionalism has been awarded as Annual Editor\u2019s Choice of paper in Teaching and Learning Medicine.
